Shree Rama Nama Taraka Japa Abhiyan

A nationwide wave of devotion — five hundred and fifty crore recitations of the Ram Taraka Mantra, offered by the community in honour of the Math's 550th year.

Five Hundred and Fifty Crore Names of the Lord

To mark the Sardha Panchashatamanotsava — the Math's 550th anniversary — Paramapoojya Shreemad Vidyadheesh Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji initiated the Sardha Panchashatakoti Shree Ram Nama Taraka Japa Abhiyana: a divine sankalpa to recite the taraka mantra of Shree Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama five hundred and fifty crore times in five hundred and fifty days.

Inceptioned on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami 17th April 2024, this spiritual endeavor united global devotees across 120 Japa Kendras and 131 sub-centers. The sankalpa was fulfilled in just 511 days — surpassing the goal with more than 593 crore sacred recitations, recognised in the World Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, and India Book of Records—honors that Swamiji gracefully dedicated to the collective devotion of the community. The Abhiyaan was carried across the nation by the Shree Ram Ratha Digvijaya Yatra, beginning at Badarikashram and visiting every shakha math and japa centre before returning to Partagali.

I · The Taraka Mantra

Shree Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama

The Rama Nama Taraka Japa Abhiyan was launched as a global mission for spiritual purification and community unification. The campaign achieved a monumental milestone of 550 Crore (5.5 Billion) chants of the sacred ‘Shree Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama’ mantra. This historic feat engaged the global GSB diaspora across 120 major Japa Kendras and hundreds of sub-centers, including major hubs in Goa, Mangaluru, Bengaluru, Hubballi, and Mumbai, effectively bridging the ancient Guru Parampara with the modern generation.

To ensure absolute authenticity, the Math implemented a rigorous, four-tiered reporting structure that tracked data from center level up to a final hub database. Financial and auditing professionals, including retired bank employees, cross-verified the digital entries against physical Japa logs to maintain strict accuracy. In recognition of its unprecedented scale and meticulous execution, the mission was officially honored by multiple record agencies. As an eternal testimony to this collective devotion, the names of all participating Japa Kendras are permanently inscribed upon the pedestal of the Math's iconic 77-foot Rama Pratima.

II · The Sacred Journey

Shree Ram Digvijaya Ratha Yatra

To unite the Abhiyaan with the Math's living network of devotion, Paramapoojya Shreemad Vidyadheesh Teerth Swamiji sent forth the Shree Ram Digvijaya Ratha Yatra from Badarikashram — the Himalayan kshetra where the Guru Parampara of Partagali Math was founded in 1475 CE. From that sacred origin, the Ram Ratha set out on a nationwide pilgrimage of approximately 6,400 kilometres across seven states.

At every halt, the chariot was received with bhajan, archana, and collective japa. The Yatra called upon all Samsthan shakha maths — from Varanasi and Bhatkal to Badrinath and beyond — and passed through every japa abhiyaan centre and sub-centre, carrying the flame of the Taraka Mantra to devotees who had offered their sankalpa from distant towns and villages. The journey culminated at Partagali on 26 November 2025, arriving at Adarsh Dham days before the inauguration of the Ram Pratima and the grand 550th-year celebrations.
