The development of the Vasco Shaka Math, also known as the Murgaon Math Sankul, began under the leadership of P.P. Shreemad Dwarakanatha Teerth Shreepad Vader Swamiji. The foundation stone for the Indira Kant Sabhagraha was laid on April 27, 1956, and the hall was inaugurated on May 16, 1963. Decades later, the foundation for Vidyadhiraj Bhavan was laid on December 17, 1993, and it was officially inaugurated on December 4, 1998.
