Spiritual Leadership and Construction

P.P. Shreemad Lakshminatha Tirtha Shreepad Vader Swamiji was initiated into Sannyasa at the age of eleven. They were instrumental in the Samsthan's physical and spiritual expansion, overseeing the extensive renovation of the Gokarna Matha and installing the majestic Hanuman tower (Gopura) before it. In Shaka 1739 (1817 AD), they constructed the Shri Lakshmi Venkatesh Temple at Venkatapur. Known for their profound spiritual authority, they undertook numerous pilgrimages and oversaw the renovation of the Maths at Ankola, Basroor, and Aversa, ensuring these centers remained vibrant for the community.

The Miracle at Baroda

In Shaka 1743, P.P. Swamiji arrived in Baroda. The Maharaja and his Queen, who were childless, sought their intervention through Paadyapooja. Moved by their devotion, P.P. Swamiji blessed them with an enchanted fruit (phalamantrakshata). Following the birth of a prince, the royal family became lifelong devotees, requesting P.P. Swamiji to extend their stay in Baroda.

Mahanirvana

This stay in Baroda became their final chapter. Historical records, including a letter from resident Ganpat Ramchandra, detail that P.P. Swamiji arrived on a Friday with a fever. Despite treatments, they remained in a calm, detached state, acknowledging the Divine Will. They attained Haripada in the early hours of a Monday. Their Vrindavana in Baroda remains a revered site for pilgrims.
